Most Rev. Zacharias Mar Athanasios

Zacharias was born at Thirumoolapuram,near Thiruvalla in 1908. After his basic education, he reunited with the Catholic church at the age of 30. After priestly formation he was ordained priest at the age of 38. He became the third bishop of Thiruvalla in1955. He passed away on 28^th September 1977 and was buried at the St. John's Cathedral, Thiruvalla.
