History and Development

Daivamatha Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Kalayapuram East in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Kottarakkara. The first community of this parish was formed in 1931 This Parish was established and blessed by the Servant of God Archbishop Mar Ivanios. This church renovated and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios in 1990. In 2007 it celebrated the Platinum Jubilee by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis.
