History and Development

St. Joseph’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Anadu in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Nedumangadu.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1987 by the mission work of Rev. Fr. Philip Tharakan OIC. This Parish was established and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios in 1990. The church was renovated during the time of Rev. Fr. Mathew Parackal OIC and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis on 21^st April 2018.
