History and Development

St. Agnas Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Cherukadavu in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Punalur.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1967. This Parish was established and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios in 1987 during the time of Rev. Fr. Varkey Attupurathu.  The church was renovated and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis
