History and Development

Our Lady of Perpetual Help   Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Ottackal in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Punalur.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1984.  It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios.  The church was renovated in 2003 and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Cyril Baselios Catholicos.
