History and Development

St. Mary’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Podiyattuvila in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Ayoor.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1933 by Rt. Rev. Alexander Valiyaveettil Cor Episcopa. It was established by the Servant of God Archbishop Mar Ivanios. The church was rebuilt during the time of Rev.Fr. Joseph Stephen Olickal and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis in 2013.
