History and Development

St. Thomas Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Ottakkompu in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Kilimanoor.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1968.This Parish was established in 1968 by Mar Philaxinos.  It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios .The church was renovated by Rev. Fr. John Kalluvila in 2010 and blessed by His Beatitude Moran MorBaselios Cardinal Cleemis.
