History and Development

St. Mary’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Peroorkada in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Trivandrum.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1960. This Parish was established and was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios in 1964. The church was renovated by Rev. Fr. Wilson Thattaruthundil and on 23rd September 2012 blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis.
