History and Development

St. Jude’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Narickal in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Punalur.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1932. This Parish was established and blessed by the Servant of God Archbishop Mar Ivnios.  This church was renovated and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios in 1957 and in 1993. In 2008 it celebrated the Platinum Jubilee and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis.
