History and Development

St. Thomas Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Theppupara in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Adoor.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1971. This Parish was established on 17^th September 1971 and was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios.  The first vicar was Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumbukatt.  The church was renovated by Rev.Fr. Saji Madamannil in 2004 and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Cyril Baselios Catholicos.  The new church was built and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis on 16^th September 2017.
