History and Development

St. Joseph’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Pirappancode in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Kilimanoor.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1962. It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios.  The church is under renovation. Its foundation is laid by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis on July 14, 2017. The new church was blessed on 5th September 2019 by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis. It was Renamed as St. Mother Theresa Church.
