By the grace of God Daughters of Mary Congregation extended its missionary services in the Dioceses of Jalandhar in Northern part of India. At the invitation of Bishop Emeritus Rt. Rev. Dominic Kokkat the then mission superior of CST Fathers, Daughters of Mary Congregation opened the first convent in Muktsar on 16 March 1975. The residence of CST Fathers was given as the sisters residence. The area was crowded with non Christians. People were poor, illiterate and uncivilized. Sisters were fully engaged in parish, education and healing ministries. At the invitation of His Excellency Late Rt. Rev. Dr. Syphorian Keeprath the second convent was established in Kapurthala on 25 March 1977. Sisters began to work in the Diocesan School. Looking to the future the Congregation purchased three acres of land attached to the parish in 1979. A few more convents are started at Malout, Amritsar, Garshankar and Jammu. It became a Vice Province in the year 2002 on October 19 and declared as Kristuraja Province on 23 August 2005. Now the Province has 102 sisters residing in 23 houses. The Province extended its serves in 7 states and associated with 10 Dioceses. Sisters proclaim the Word of God through various activities and live the charism left by the Founders.
