History and Development

St. Thomas Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Edamulakkal in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Ayoor.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1947. This Parish was established in 1954.  It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios in 1960.  The church was rebuilt during the time of Rev. Fr. Johnson Puthuvelil on 26, January 2019 and blessed with Holy Myron by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis.
