Synodal Commission for the Family

The Synodal Commission for the Family is formed for the pastoral care of families, protecting their rights and dignity in the Church and in civil society, so that they may ever be more able to fulfill their duties.

It works for a deeper understanding of the Church’s teaching on the family and for its spread through suitable catechesis and also encourages studies in the spirituality of marriage and family

Even in the social and political realm, the commission has to ensure that the rights of the family be acknowledged and defended and coordinates initiatives to protect human life from the first moment of conception and to encourage responsible procreation.

It collaborates with the activities of institutes and other associations which seek to work for the good of the family especially promoting and encouraging the family apostolate programs of the eparchies
