Synodal Commission for Communication and Media

Synodal Commission for Communication Media, Directory, and Common Celebrations.

The chief task of the Synodal Commission for Communication Media is to arouse the Church and the Christian faithful in a timely and suitable manner to take part in the many forms of communication such as newspapers, periodicals, films, radio, and television so that they will more and more be imbued with a human and Christian Spirit.

The Synodal Commission tries to organize the Malankara Christian faithful working and employed in this field to give them proper orientation.

It coordinates the activities and policies of all the publications of the Malankara Catholic Church. The Commission is empowered to use modern media to propagate the Word of God.

The Commission is responsible to re-edit, renew and publish the Directory of the Malankara Catholic Church once in three years.

The Commission co-ordinates common celebrations of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, such as the Dukhorono of Mar Ivanios (July 15), the Reunion Day Celebrations (September 20), Episcopal Ordinations and other celebrations organized as common celebrations of the SMCC.
