Synodal Commission for Faith Formation
The Synodal Commission for Faith Formation involves itself in the faith formation of the Christian faithful, especially of children through adequate programmes for initiating them in the Christian faith.
On the advice of the Synod of Bishops, it proposes the syllabus of catechetical education from I to XII standards, prepares, prints, and publishes textbooks common to the entire Church.
It helps the individual eparchies and missions to organize catechetical education, supplying their textbooks, common teacher training programs, multimedia programmes, etc.
Prepares or approves, in cases necessary, additional textbooks for eparchies and missions to foster the practice of faith, the history, and circumstances of life in a particular place and region.
