Synodal Commission for the Youth

The Synodal Commission for the Youth is competent in promoting and coordinating the Christian life and formation of the Youth of the Malankara Catholic Church.

The purpose of the commission is to urge the youth to participate in the life and mission of the Church in their own way as individuals or in associations to foster joint action among the youth in catechetical instruction, liturgical and sacramental life as well as in works of mercy, charity, and social development.

It protects, promotes, and supervises the activities of the associations of the youth. Within the parameters of its competence, it assists the Major Archbishop-Catholicos in the erection of associations of Youth by studying their statutes for which recognition is to be accorded by the Major Archbishop-Catholicos.

National and international conferences and seminars for promoting the mission and life of the youth have to be organized by the commission.
